Dear Friends,
First, I hope this note finds you and all those you love safe and healthy. I also recognize this virus is affecting our Paterson Habitat family in very real ways and it is affecting all of us differently. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
One thing that I believe is true for all of us during this time is our increased understanding and appreciation for how important it truly is to have a safe and stable place to call HOME. As our homes become our places of work, our places of school and our places of refuge, a safe and affordable place to call HOME is more crucial than ever.
In the midst of all of the hard things we are each facing on a daily basis, today I want to offer you something to celebrate. Today we get to celebrate a family that has a brand new, safe and stable place to call HOME.
Now that we are in our 35th year we don’t often have too many ‘firsts’ here at Paterson Habitat, but today we are celebrating a ‘first’. Today we had our very first virtual closing and welcomed a new family to their brand-new Habitat Home. The first home in our Hamilton 7 project.
This was only possible because of you, so today we hope you will celebrate along with us and welcome Ramon, Dafani, and their 6 kids to their new home.
We have over thirty families waiting for their very own safe place to call HOME so now more than ever we need your help. While we can’t currently welcome you to our construction sites you can still help us build homes by donating today. Please help us help other families have a safe place to call home during this crisis and beyond.
