We have various opportunities for individual volunteers on the build site, on committees, at special events, at our ReStore and much more. Please see below for more information on how to get involved as an individual.

homeowner selection committee

The Family Selection Committee provides support for, interviews and documents contact with interested families.  Members are responsible for assessing the potential family's need for shelter, and willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity.  Members also educate potential families about Habitat for Humanity.  

tithe/global village committee

The Tithe/Global Village committee oversees Paterson Habitat’s support of the international work of Habitat for Humanity through its annual tithe donations and the sponsoring of Global Village trips as an important way to achieve the shared Habitat vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

paterson habitat young professionals

Paterson Habitat Young Professionals (PHYP) is a network of young adults ages 21 to 40, who raise awareness, revenue and volunteers for Paterson Habitat. Through events, volunteer days and fundraising efforts, PHYP members build better communities through affordable homeownership.
