Women Build 2021
While there is no substitute for swinging a hammer, we are excited for you to participate in our Women Build 2021 virtual event. We will be hosting this event in partnership with Habitat for Humanity International and Lowe’s.
It takes more than swinging hammers to provide safe homes so this year instead of raising our hammers together we will be raising our voices to focus on an advocacy issue of importance to women and families. While Habitat homes are newly built and contain lead free paint, we are cognizant of our role in the community at large to eradicate lead in older homes, and to help create safe and healthy environments for all families in Paterson, greater Passaic County, and throughout New Jersey.
About Women Build
Our Women Build events provide the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities.
Women Build opportunities are available to any woman who wants to learn how to build and construct a home is invited to join us. No experience is necessary. Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals, and also alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and improves the community that you share.
Women Build is also a terrific way to involve your friends and family of all ages in crucial work with a lasting impact. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message.
