Generally, we consider a volunteer group to be 3 or more volunteers on one volunteer day. There are many different ways for groups to get involved.

Our build sites are open to volunteers Thursday to Saturday. No special skills are required. Construction volunteers must be 16 years of age to be present on an active build site. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult, 21 or older.

Schools, faith organizations, community groups

Teams from all types of organizations and faith backgrounds have lent a hand in building a better Paterson. We would love to have your group join us for a fun and unique way to leave your mark on the community. When we work together, incredible things happen.

Community clean-ups and events

In partnering with local organizations and groups we frequently receive requests for volunteers to help during community events. Paterson Habitat works closely with CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design). CPTED hosts various community events, including neighborhood clean-up projects which bring volunteers together to focus on safety and beautification.
